Different from any other creature on the planet. They crave human companionship and love their people. They do great in multi-animal households and they do not thrive if they are left alone for long periods of time.
A sphynx cat is like a puppy, kitten and human baby rolled into one.
Sphynx make top tier therapy pets and emotional support animals. They are little serotonin pills in kissable kitten form.
Beware... THEY ARE ADDICTIVE
Our goal is to breed healthy, happy, socialized, gorgeous kittens that will blend seamlessly into your family.
Nestled in a small hollow of Valley Springs, CA.
Welcome to Smooth Country Cattery located in Valley Springs CA!
First, I'll answer everyone's top question:
How much do your cats cost?
My Elf and Sphynx (long legs) Babies are $2400
My Bambino and Dwelf (short legs) Babies are $3000
Quality does not come cheap, and these are well bred and ethically bred Sphynx cats that I put my heart, soul and time into. The cost reflects the top tier care my cats recieve.
I do not place kittens and then disappear. I am here for a lifetime of support for you and your Smooth Country Cattery kitten.
Sure, you can find a cheaper pet, but ask yourself, what care was sacrificed to make that price so much lower? That's a question for another day that I'm happy to answer for you if you're serious about getting a sphynx.
If you've made it this far, THANK YOU!

Let's talk about food and skin care and how they're related

Stop bathing your cats. Good clean skin comes from good gut HEALTH.
FOOD MAKES THE SKIN!!
A lot of sphynx tend to have sensitive bellies. Often times they can't handle the fillers in the food you feed. Sometimes they are allergic to the protein. Chicken is a big allergen believe it or not. Start with removing fillers first though.
A balanced raw food will be the number one option. Raw diet makes for the best poop! They digest almost all of it, making their poops small and firm with little to no smell
A very high quality wet diet would be next on the list, remember though, as close to no fillers as possible.
I leave freeze dry raw out for mine to snack on, but raw and wet makes almost all of their diet.
9 times out of 10, cruddy skin is due to a poor diet.
When you bathe them regularly, you strip the oils off their skin, which dries out the skin. This causes the oil glands to over produce oil.
So now you have a flaky, oily, filthy looking cat. This makes you feel it needs another bath, and that's where the cycle starts to repeat itself.
Switch the cat's diet and stop bathing it.
Yes it will be dirty for a while as its skin balances itself out but a warm water soak
(NO soap) and wipe down with a wet cloth will help until the skin balances out and adjusts to the new diet.
I will answer any and all questions you have even years down the road
*It is important for me to note that while cats can eat raw meat, and thrive on it, you must be cautious when feeding raw. Make sure the meat is thawed in the refrigerator and do not leave it out for more that 2 hours max.
You can make them sick if you are careless with the food*
